Research into acupuncture and joint pain in cancer patients

Aromatase inhibitors are drugs that are commonly used in the treatment of breast cancer, however an unwanted side effect of these can often be joint pain which often requires additional medication for relief of symptoms. A recent study in the Journal of Clinical Oncology reports that in a group of women experiencing these side effects, acupuncture not only significantly reduced their pain levels, but also increased their general sense of well being.
